The complete Triffids' catalogue will very soon begin rolling out in its shiny new remastered and repackaged form trhrough Liberation for Australia and New Zealand and Domino for the rest of the world. Born Sandy Devotional has been lovingly remastered from the original half inch tapes and, while it's still the same record it always was, there's a clarity, power and wealth of fine detail evident that was muted in the CD versions available to date. Initial orders of the cd will include a 42 page perfect bound booklet within a slipcase, similar in style to the pavement reissue of 'crooked rain'. the booklet documents for the first time the ideas and inspirations behind the creation and recording of this classic 80s indie album. this reissue campaign of the triffids catalogue will conduct itself over an eighteen month period, with titles to follow including 'treeless plain', 'raining pleasure', 'in the pines', 'calenture' and 'the black swan'.
