Evie Sands is brilliant. There I’ve said it. She is you know - from Beck and Beth Orton covering her song ‘It’s This I Am’ to Belle and Sebastian asking her to open up for them on their UK tours to being Dusty Springfield’s favourite singer and scoring ‘John and Mary’, the cult-classic movie starring Dustin Hoffman and Mia Farrow.  Revola recently reissued her classic debut ‘Anyway That You Want Me’ and Poptones.co.uk can’t stop playing it. Why? They are all folk-rock-soul-stompers with nice orchestrated touches.
