Black Swan Days is the follow-up to Scarboro Aquarium Club’s acclaimed debut Poisoned. Like its predecessor, this new album is mainly the work of Corey W Schmidt with help from a few collaborators. Corey’s passion for pop music is again present in 12 songs that draw equally from the folk songwriting of the 60s and 80s tecno-pop, with references to such different artists as Scott Walker (‘Blind Like The Sun’), Roxy Music (‘All Her Careful Plans’), Saint Etienne (‘Before The Morning Light’) and the exotic legacy of El Records (‘The Queen Of The Beach’).
